Properties of Kites

ABDC is a kite.

Kite ABCD with diagonals AB and CD.

A kite is a quadrilateral with exactly two pairs of consecutive congruent sides. Unlike a parallelogram, the opposite sides of a kite are not congruent or parallel.

The following are properties of kites.

  1. The diagonals are perpendicular.
  2. One pair of opposite angles is congruent.
