Systems of Equations and Inequalities: Matrices and Determinants

Matrices and Determinants: Introduction

Matrix organizing families food, utilities, and health expenses. The matrix has two rows and three columns.

Matrices are used to store and organize data that can be found in tables. For example, you may need to organize data on the inventory of a store. You can also manipulate matrices much like you do numbers and variables. Matrices can be added, subtracted, and multiplied. Matrices are also used in solving systems of equations. In this section we will go through how matrices are constructed and how they can be manipulated.
