Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis, also referred to as TB, is a bacterial respiratory disease that was referred to as consumption in your great grandparents' day because it "consumed" the body. Although treatable and once thought almost eradicated, TB is again on the rise. It strikes those without resources, such as the poor or people in under-developed nations and those with weak immune systems, like HIV patients. Why is TB on the rise again?
