Infectious Disease Continued
This section continues with the study of infectious diseases. The diseases in this section are either commonly known diseases, such as ringworm or athlete's foot, or are considered reportable diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, or Lyme disease. For those diseases, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that incidences of these diseases be reported to the state health department and the CDC. The CDC tracks diseases such as rabies, botulism, e-coli, or anthrax to prevent the spread of them or to reduce the risks of the diseases to individuals.
