Did you know that the common cold is still present in your body for up to three weeks after you first feel the symptoms? Did you know that in most cases, the pathogen for the common cold was introduced to your body one week before you started feeling the symptoms?

Colds and flu are caused by a virus that is transferred through direct contact or through an object one has touched. A person can feel the symptoms of the cold or flu virus within 72 hours of infection and symptoms can last about two weeks. Strep is caused by a bacterial pathogen and often necessitates antibiotics to cure.
