Assignment
In this writing assignment, you are going to create a conversation
between two people--but you are both people. Write 10 lines of a conversation
in French. You must ask at least 4 questions and answer them as if you
were the other person. Each line of conversation must have at least 4
words. Submit this assignment at Writing 3c

Un Virelangue
What is a virelangue? It's something that "swerves
the tongue" - a tongue twister. We have several of these in English.
"She sells seashells down by the seashore...." is an example
of one. Listen to this French one.
Listen:
Ces six saucissons-ci sont si secs qu'on ne sait si c'en sont. (These
six sausages are so dried up, it's not sure that they really are sausages.)
Listen to it until you feel comfortable with it. Record yourself saying
it and submit it to your teacher for grading at Speaking 3c.

Je m'appelle Thomas Michaud. Je suis de Genève mais
j'habite à Bern en Suisse. Je suis étudiant et j'aime
faire du ski et du snowboard. En hiver, je fais du ski à Zermatt,
dans les Alpes. En été, j'aime faire du vélo et
me promener dans le jardin public avec mes amis. En été, il
fait chaud, des fois 30 degrés. En hiver, il fait très
froid en Suisse - il fait 0 degrés ou moins. J'aime l'hiver parce
que j'aime faire du ski et étudier, mais je préfère
l'été parce que je suis en vacances.
