You
may have noticed that many of the expressions we use in talking about
the weather start with il fait and some have their
own verb which only appears with il. These are not interchangeable.
Please memorize the expressions so that you don't have to think about
which one to use. They must be:
Il fait mauvais.
Il fait beau.
Il fait froid.
Il fait chaud.
Il fait nuageux.
Il fait frais.
Il fait du soleil.
