In this warm-up, let’s review the Pythagorean Theorem. Remember the Pythagorean Theorem is true for all right triangles. Analyze the following diagram.

Right triangle with legs a and b and hypotenuse equal to c. a squared plus b squared ids equal to c squared.

If a and b are the legs of a right triangle and c is the hypotenuse, then the Pythagorean Theorem states that a2 + b2 = c2.
