Reviewing Numbers: Introduction

This section will review the concepts of exponents, powers of ten, orders of magnitude, and scientific notation. These are all important mathematics concepts that you will have to know in order to be successful in AP Physics 1. It is imperative that you are comfortable working with very small and very large numbers and be able to compare them in terms of magnitude. As you work through your study of Physics, you will work with numbers that represent the size and mass of subatomic particles all the way up to numbers that represent the size of a galaxy!
