Viola
Violas are almost identical to violins with a couple of important differences. Violas are larger than violins and produce a deeper, darker sound. Violas have four strings but they are different from the four strings found on the violin. Violin strings are G-D-A-E. From lowest to highest Viola strings are C-G-D-A.
Violas are found primarily in symphony orchestras and chamber music ensembles.
