Listening

When we hear music in an office or as part of a radio or television commercial, most people don't stop to think about the individual musical elements and how they might be conspiring to affect us. Similarly, when we listen to music we enjoy, sometimes we struggle to explain "why" we like a particular performer, piece of music, or style of music. It is important to be able to hear how the elements of music are being used so that we can describe it and hopefully have a better understanding of it. This section will provide an opportunity to practice listening for specific musical elements.
