In the last section we discussed the properties of quadrilaterals. In this warm-up, we will focus on reviewing parallelograms and rectangles.
Open the parallelogram and rectangle activity.
Write down the properties of parallelograms and rectangles. Now drag the corners and sides of the parallelogram and rectangle to change the size of each of the figures. Continue to do this until you feel comfortable, that no matter the size or orientation on the page, the properties of parallelograms and rectangles hold true. For example, if you change the size of the parallelogram, do the opposite sides still remain congruent?
