Moral Issues and Conflicts: Introduction
The 1920s pitted the modernity of new ideas and free thinking against traditional morals and values. In this section we will trace the events leading to prohibition and analyze its social and economic effects. We will compare communism to capitalism and examine the U.S. government’s response to alleged Communistic activity. Lastly, we will explore the clash between scientific thinking and the biblical teaching.
