Reglas del imperativo

Primero observa estas oraciones:

¡Canta la canción! ¡Vengan aquí! ¡Vayamos al cine!

 

What do these three sentences have in common? They are all commands.

 

Do you remember how to form the imperative (that's the grammatical term for a command)?

Let's review the pattern:

	Regular -AR, -ER and -IR verbs
Tú	Tú form of verb minus -s* ¡Canta! ¡Come! ¡Escribe!
Usted	Usted form of verb except with the opposite end vowel ¡Cante! ¡Coma! ¡Escriba!
Nosotros(as)	Nosotros form of verb with opposite vowel ¡Cantemos! ¡Comamos! ¡Escribamos!
Ustedes	Ustedes form of verb except with opposite end vowel ¡Canten! ¡Coman! ¡Escriban!
