Section 3 Part C Discussion 3C Japanese Music にほんのおんがく（日本の音楽） There are so many music styles in Japan that it would be difficult or impossible to talk about all of them in one course. Go back through the sections where the music was presented and post a discussion assignment about your favorite musical style and why. Have you done further looking online to find additional musicians or do you have a Japanese musician that you like to listen to? Go to the Discussion area and post about these things and respond to others' postings. This assignment is worth 8 points. Review and Practice Activity Let's see if you can remember these things in a short review as we wind up this second unit and you prepare for the section quiz and unit exam. Click on the question or item to see if you are correct when you finish. What are four animals that live in a farm? うし、うま、ぶた、にわとりが　ぼくじょうに　すんでいます。 What are four animals that live in the woods? へび、かえる、かめ、さる、とりです。 What are the animals that live in a house? ねこといぬが　うちにすんでいます。 How do you say that you prefer "this" sheep? このひつじが　すきです。 How would you say that this sheep is prettier than that sheep? このひつじは　あのひつじより　きれいです。 How would you say that you prefer that spider? このくものほうが　すきです。 How would you say that that spider is better than this one? このくもは　あのくもより　きれいです Be sure to go back through the sections to practice making comparisons and pointing out which item someone is talking about (demonstrative adjectives). Also be sure to review the present progressives--the form of the verb that talks about what someone is doing right now. You are now ready to take the Section 3 quiz and then the Unit exam.
