First Aid and CPR: Introduction

Module Warm-Up: First Aid/Emergency Online Quiz

To get ready for this module, think about a time when you either had to give someone first aid, saw another person receiving first aid or CPR, or even just watched a dramatic scene of first aid or CPR on television. Thinking back to that situation, these might be some of the questions running through your mind even right now:

1. What caused the accident?
2. Was it a life-threatening situation or a relatively simple injury?
3. Who gave the first aid or CPR? Was it a helpful citizen or a trained professional?
4. Did the victim lose consciousness or go into shock?
5. Was the scene organized and calm, or was there chaos and panic?
