Unit Warm-Up
Before we begin to formally study transformations, please take a look at the following interactive website which allows you to ‘play’ with various transformations.
Specifically, look at:
- Reflections on a Coordinate Plane
- Translations on a Coordinate Plane
- Rotation on a Coordinate Plane
- Dilations on a Coordinate Plane
On each page, there are questions to answer. Once you have entered answers, click on ‘Submit Answers’ to see the correct answers and feedback. Once you read the feedback, click on ‘next’ at the top of the page to move to the next activity. This is not graded.
Perhaps once you have completed the entire unit, this site would be a good way to prepare for the unit exam. Feel free to return as many times as you would like.
