Foreign Policy: Introduction

Policymakers face many challenges when making decisions about national security and establishing policies to keep Americans safe from threats abroad. Because of how the Constitution delegated powers to the Congress and the president, foreign policy decisions are handled differently than domestic and social policy issues.
