Unit 7: Polynomials

man holding large puzzle piece

Other than linear equations, much of your work with equations and graphs is going to involve polynomials. Take your time with the concepts in this unit because your understanding of polynomials is an important stepping stone to your understanding of math, in general, from here on out. You could call this chapter the “make it or break it” chapter. Take notes. Look at it like a puzzle that you are trying to put together.

Unit 7 includes

Section 1: Scientific Notation
Section 2: Add & Subtract Polynomials
Section 3: Multiply Polynomials
Section 4: Factors and GCF (greatest common factor)
Section 5: Factoring Trinomials
Section 6: Special Factors

Grades

Each graded item is worth a certain number of points. The points you earn are divided by the total possible points, and then converted to a percentage.
Grade (%) = Points Earned ÷ Points Possible

In Unit 7, these are the graded items and the points possible for each.
