Debt and Banking: Introduction

warm-up KWL

Throughout this course, you will use a KWL graphic organizer to help make connections between your previous knowledge and the knowledge gained after completing the course tasks (i.e. reading, assignments, assessments, etc.). Research shows that students retain more information when they can make connections to their own personal understanding of the topics and apply those understandings to the new information being presented.

The KWL is split into three sections:

  • K Section: What you already Know about the topic.
  • W Section: What you Want to know about the topic.
  • L Section: What you Learned about the topic.
Now that you have been introduced to the topics to be covered in Module 3 (see Introduction | Page 2 - Module Competencies & Objectives), it is time to complete the first two sections (the "K" and "W" sections) of the Module 3 KWL - explaining what you know about the topics to be presented and what you want to know about the topics to be presented. You will complete the "L" section of KWL at the end of the module - explaining what you learned about the topics presented.
